Our annual sponsored Ride & Stride, raising money to make grants to churches and chapel of all denominations towards repair and restoration costs in this our 50th Anniversary year.

Story

This is my first September back in Suffolk, so I took little persuading to take part in this year's Ride & Stride. If the weather's good, I plan to visit 26 churches between Aldeburgh & Southwold, after starting my day on the gate at Leiston's Quaker Meeting House, signing off early riders who call in.

50% of the money raised by my sponsors goes to the Leiston Quaker Meeting, The rest goes to the SHCT in this its 50th year. Religion might be in decline, but our churches are an integral part of the English landscape, and for many, a place to get baptised, married and eventually buried.
