A bit about me...
As one of the nation's premier college basketball analysts, I am a 2007 graduate who gained insight to the game early in life while rising up through the ranks of the Valpo basketball system. I grew to 6-foot-8 by my sophomore year, when I teamed with fellow big man and classmate Scott Martin to form one of the best tandems in school history. The Vikings went 66-9 in those three seasons, advancing to the regional championship each year under Hall of Fame coach Bob Punter.
I was an Indiana All Star (2007), an Indiana Junior All Star (2006), made first team All-State as a senior and was the 2007 Duneland Athletic Conference co-MVP along with Martin. As teammates, we rank third in school history with a combined 2,247 points. During my high school years, I also participated in tennis as a freshman and sophomore, and track as a senior, winning the sectional championship in the 400 meter dash. I moved on to an accomplished career at Purdue, despite battling back and knee injuries including sitting out the 2010-11 season. In my four active seasons, the Boilermakers had a record of 103-38 which included back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances (2009-10). I was selected as a first-team All-Big Ten player three times, the first in Purdue history since Rick Mount in the 1960s. I was also three times named an All American, once as a 2nd Team State Farm All American (2010) and twice as an AP Honorable Mention All American (2010, 2012).
I finished my collegiate career with 1,772 points, ninth in school history, along with 862 rebounds, tied for fourth in school history, 268 assists, 132 steals and 112 blocks and ended my career named as the Lowes Senior Class Award winner, given to the nation’s top senior men’s basketball student athlete.
I was drafted 58th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2012 NBA Draft, and appeared in 98 games over two seasons. My professional career also included overseas stints in Spain, Italy, and Russia.
I started my broadcasting career in 2017, and am proud to be recognized as a top color commentator while working for NBC, Fox, the Big Ten Network, Westwood One Radio, and Sirius XM.
