We fund private mental health support to help those facing a Duchenne diagnosis

Story

People keep telling me because I walk a lot I'll run a half Marathon with ease. I tried running for the first time in about 15 years the other day. I lasted 10 minutes and one mile before I had to stop, thinking my chest was about to explode, not even reaching the end of the third song in a row I was listening to. At this moment in time I would say I actively dislike running, so why am I doing this to myself....

We are raising money for Harrison's Fund, a charity we've worked with closely for a long time.

Harrison's Fund are continuously working hard to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a fatal genetic disorder affecting children around the world. Children affected by the disorder can't produce dystrophin, a protein needed to build up muscles, which causes every muscle to deteriorate.

Comms Centre & Networks Centre have assembled a team of runners, taking on the challenge of the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October. We're proud to be represented by our wonderful team: Sam Sloan, Krislyn Aedma, James Gayfer, Duncan Lindsay, Jack Tuesley, Ryan Deleslie, Barbara Elliott, Karen Pedley, Liam stone (and me).

In a time that's proving tough for a lot of people, we appreciate any support. Whether it's a donation and/or spreading the word of Harrison's Fund: We are extremely grateful for it all.

Good luck to our team and thank you in advance for any support!

I have just under 10 months to prepare myself to run 13 times more than I'm able to currently. Wish me luck, I need it!
