Story
The Leicester Tigers club is committed to raising the participation and awareness of wheelchair rugby as a unisex all-inclusive sport.
Many of our club members have been supported by the CiaO Foundation over the years by receiving awards to help fund specialist equipment to enable them to reach their highest personal challenges in life.
As a club we want to support CiaO so they can continue their work helping individuals realise their dreams, whether it be Gold medal Paralympian an Invictus Games Champion or just giving someone the opportunity to join a club like ours, sit in a rugby chair and experience the freedom and enjoyment of being part of a team.
Anybody with a physical disability can take part in the training sessions and the club welcomes and supports all new comers, whether they want to just socialise and get fit, represent the Tigers in the Paralympic version of rugby 4’s or the more functional discipline of WR5’s
The team train every Friday (11am-2pm) at the DeMonfort University Leicester Queen Elizabeth II Leisure Centre.
