Story
The past few months have been incredibly challenging for my family and me, following the passing of my wife, Jess to cancer at the end of November. Throughout our journey from diagnosis to her passing, the team at the Dorothy House provided extraordinary care, dignity, and support. Even now, their counselling services continue to help us navigate this difficult time, and I can’t thank them enough.
Jess was an endlessly positive person, deeply passionate about raising awareness in the fight against all cancers and the amazing efforts of the people at Dorothy House. I want to honour her spirit by continuing the work that meant so much to both of us.
Now feels like the perfect time to channel her incredible positivity and passion for raising awareness and funds. That’s why I’m launching my personal campaign to raise £10,000 towards Lansdown Cricket Club’s 200 for 200 Campaign - raising £200k for their 200 years of history - all in aid of local charities.
This May, I’ll be taking on The Big Bike Ride alongside 17 teammates, cycling 850km over four days to visit every Test Match Cricket Ground in England. Every penny we raise will support local charities primarily Dorothy House Hospice Care and RUHX, the official charity of the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
Any support, whether through donations, sharing this page, or simply spreading awareness, would mean the world.
