Yorkshire 3 Peaks, 24 August 2024
We support the Neonatal Unit at Kings Mill to make life better for families

Story

Join us on the 24th of August 2024 as we take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to support the Emily Harris Foundation. We will be walking 24 miles and ascending 500ft over three of Yorkshire's highest peaks: Pen-Y-Ghent, Ingleborough, and Whernside!

The Emily Harris Foundation holds a special place in our hearts as it provides vital financial support for Kings Mill Hospital and its dedicated staff. This includes essential training for neonatal intensive care and financial relief for families with babies receiving care at the hospital. The foundation also contributes to parent flats on Neonatal, provides meal vouchers, and assists with transport costs for families visiting their babies daily. Your support will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these families. Let's come together to make a positive impact and show our solidarity with those in need.

The charity helped to support Rory Morgan in November 2022 onwards and Frankie Limb in November 2017 during their stay on Neonatal unit during a very difficulty time for the families and their little one at Kings Mill Hospital before they were transferred to neighbouring hospitals for further extensive care and surgery. We're very grateful to the Emily Harris Foundation and can't wait to try and give something back to the charity that helped two of the parents from Kent PHK and their babies during this difficult time.

About the charity

We support the families and staff on the Neonatal Unit at Kings Mill Hospital. We do this through the provision of Welcome Packs, bus tokens, meal vouchers, sibling bags and in many other practical ways for families. We also fund additional staff training where this is not provided by the NHS.
