Story
The Roarsome Runners are uniting for 2023 to raise funds to purchase The Umbrella Project by the ADHD Foundation for local communities all over the UK.
The Umbrella Project includes an installation & educational resources that promote & celebrate Neurodiversity!
In 2022 George Power decided to start running #roarsomemiles in order to fundraise for The Umbrella Project for his local School in Coventry, while he awaited a Neurodevelopmental diagnosis. He wanted to do something active & positive while on the waiting list for his assessment & thought this would be a wonderful way to help others Neurodivergent children like him to feel ''more happy & less lonely''. His initial target was to raise £350 for one project...
If you have followed George @roarsomerunnergeorge then you will know that he surpassed this & ended 2022 with a total of £3850!!! Which enabled him to not just fund 1 School, but 11 Schools in Coventry!!!
This was down to the immense support and kindness of the online running community who rallied around George & promoted his challenge!
Through this the Roarsome Runners were born - A community of kind, compassionate & motivated individuals who wanted to come together and encourage others to celebrate their differences & be MORE ROARSOME!
It is because of this we have decided to unite for 2023 & keep running our #roarsomemiles as a team in the hope we can fund The Umbrella Project for lots more Schools, communities & work places all over the UK!!!
