Story

Hello,

I am climbing to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money and awareness for the Congo Rainforest Basin.

The Congo Basin, known as the "lungs of the world" is the largest carbon sink in the world, removing over 600 million tons of net carbon dioxide from the atmosphere annually, more carbon than the Amazon.

Spanning across six countries, its home to 75m people, and thousands of endangered plant and animal species. Yet these forests are disappearing, mainly due to human action. The world cannot afford this loss. Preserving the Congo Basin forest is vital to combat and reverse climate change.

WWF is at the heart of global efforts to address the world’s most important environmental challenges. In the Congo Basin, WWF is achieving this mission through the growing of over 10 million trees, driving sustainable practices, and empowering local communities.

Together let's make a difference by protecting the biggest carbon sink in the world; The Congo Basin.

Thank you for your support.
