Story

Irish Sea challenge-Wicklow to Porthdinllaen 2024

When? July 2024

The crew of the Porthdinllaen Lifeboat are planning to take on the Irish Sea during July 2024 by rowing a Pembrokeshire longboat from Wicklow Lifeboat Station to Porthdinllaen Lifeboat Station, a distance of 54 nautical miles.

We are doing this to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the first Lifeboat to be stationed at Porthdinllaen and to celebrate the 200th year of the RNLI. We are also raising much needed funds to allow us to continue to save lives at sea for another 160 years.

Wiclo i Porthdinllaen 2024

Pryd? Gorffennaf 2024

Yn ystod Mis Gorffennaf eleni mae Criw Bad Achub Porthdinllaen yn bwriadu herio Môr Iwerddon a rhwyfo cwch hir Sir Benfro o Wiclo i Borthdinllaen, pellter o 54 milltir morwrol.

Rydym am wneud hyn i ddathlu 160 mlynedd o wasanaeth Bad Achub Porthdinllaen, 200 mlynedd o wasanaeth gan yr RNLI a hefyd i geisio codi swm sylweddol o arian a fydd yn ein gallugi i achub bywydau ar y mor am flynyddoedd i ddod.
