Story

We are a group of veterans and along with our partners and some friends, who mainly served in the 22nd Cheshire Regt, we intend to walk the Anglesey Coastal Path from Amlwch to Menai Bridge during the summer, to raise funds for the 4 RNLI Lifeboat Stations in Anglesey - Holyhead, Trearddur Bay, Moelfre and Beaumaris.

Several years ago one of our members started organising group walks as a way of keeping in touch and getting out, especially in the hills and countryside that so many of us found helpful. We meet quite often and have regular camps in Bethesda, Snowdonia and other areas around the country. Over the years the group has organised trips to Normandy walking the beach's and raised money for the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue team.

This year we plan to walk the Anglesey coastline from Amlwch to the Menai Suspension Bridge anticlockwise. With this in mind the group decided to support the RNLI - the charity that saves lives at sea.

When? From 28th August to 3rd September 2024.

Every penny will go towards ensuring that Lifeboats crews can continue doing great work, saving lives along the coastline of Anglesey. Please give generously.

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
