We fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours

Story

My wonderful husband Neil passed away on 22nd October 2023 from glioblastoma multiforme, a particularly aggressive form of brain cancer.

He was only diagnosed five months before, and despite Neil’s enduring positivity, courage and strength undergoing a long and difficult operation, followed by intense radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the tumour continued to grow.

An incredible husband, son, dad, step-dad, grandad, brother, uncle and friend to many, Neil will be missed so very much.

But I hope we can add to his legacy by supporting much-needed research into this horrible disease.

Despite brain tumours killing more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, woefully just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease which devastates families.

In Neil’s memory I would like to fundraise for Brain Tumour Research, as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.

Thank you,

Rita xx
