Story
Thanks for visiting my page! I'm currently studying Sexual and Reproductive Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, a leading global public health institution. LSHTM has allowed me to focus on a plethora of health inequities within the sexual and reproductive health space and develop a toolset to both research and combat these inequities, which I am so grateful for.
LSHTM is sponsoring me to run the Cambridge Half Marathon next March 2024. Why am I fundraising for LSHTM? Since 2011, we have raised over £1.3 million to support essential scholarships, and last years runners raised £6000 for one race alone. The school provides an excellent and unparalleled forum for international collaboration, research, and training for students, public health workers, healthcare providers, and researchers around the world. The LSHTM fund empowers students who are already working to improve health in their own underserved communities, like Dr. Maria Rauf Jaswal (link below), to study and research at LSHTM, increasing access to education for the next generation of global health leaders while eliminating their financial burden. I feel tremendously grateful for the opportunity to be sponsored by Rotary International & the Rotary Club of Asheville, North Carolina to complete my studies here at LSHTM, as the financial burden to study at a global institution like LSHTM still poses a significant barrier even to a privileged individual like myself. Please consider donating to my page and to allow talented, deserving individuals to study here in London and continue working to improve health in their own communities! Any contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference.
