Story

Radio Northwich Co-Owner and inspiration lady Kim Smith found her lump on Christmas Eve whilst in the shower and knew immediately it was Breast Cancer.

Kim and her family decided to call this their adventure and they would have good days and not so good days... they were determined to stay as positive as possible throughout, with daily rituals that included laughing and singing !

As her treatment progressed the country went into lockdown. Her saving grace was her role as a Radio Presenter on Radio Northwich, presenting daily shows from home. She did her shows throughout her treatment and some days were her not so good days, but the music and feedback from listeners dealing with their own issues with lockdown kept her going.

Kim has since gone on to raise money for the Breast Care Unit at Leighton Hospital. Right at Home Mid Cheshire now also sponsors her Show every Wednesday 10am - 1pm.

We are showing our support by doing a Fire Walk at Nantwich Clinic to help enhance the care for more people using the Breast Care Unit at Leighton Hospital.

Team Hot Stuff is Ben Selby - Managing Director Right At Home South & Mid Cheshire, Jo - Registered Manager Right at Home Mid Cheshire, Pam - Lead Senior Care Giver at the Sandbach Office and Carole - Community Engagement Manager
