Ride for Ray - my coast to coast challenge 🚵‍♀️

🧡I am undertaking this challenge in memory of my Grandad, Ray aka Bamps🧡

🧡Bamps, my favourite man in the entire world, passed away in September this year after suffering for over 10 years with Alzhiemers. This horrendous disease ultimately left him bed ridden, unable to eat, drink, go to the toilet, or communicate in any way for himself. Alzhiemers is not just memory loss, it is completely debilitating, and torturous. Bamps was such a big character, he was always outside, always doing something, and he spent the last decade of his life stuck inside, and the last 6/7years bed ridden as his neurological pathways had deteriorated to such an extent that he could no longer walk, talk, sit up, feed himself, or go to the toilet.

I am riding for change, to raise vital funds for the research if this awful disease, in the hope that we can find a cure so future generations do not have to suffer, or watch their loved ones suffer the way we have had to watch Bamps.

I have set myself a challenge, to ride the MTB Coast to Coast (Ravenglass -> Robin Hoods Bay) in his memory, and to raise money for @AlzhiemersResearchUK.

I hope to complete this challenge over 5 days, during the latter part of May half term.
