About the Ride Lichfield Sportive

The Ride Lichfield Sportive returns in 2024! On Sunday 2nd June, hundreds of two-wheeled heroes will be pedallingthrought the beautiful Staffordshire countryside to raise money for two charities close to our hearts: Children with Cancer UK & Lichfield Re:Cycle.

Sharon and I have morphed into the Lejog Sisters after completing our biggest cycling challenge in May/June last year Lands End to John O'Groats. We want to continue the legacy we have started and continue to support, raise awareness and of course much needed funds for Children with Cancer UK.

Whilst the vision is a world where every child and young person survives cancer, the reality is that this won't happen in our lifetime so our mission is to help those who need help now with support and care.

For 35 years, Children with Cancer UK has funded much needed research into the causes of childhood cancers, and the development of better, kinder treatments as well as funding initiatives that support children and their families through cancer treatment and beyond.

CWCUK has contributed significantly to a marked increase in childhood cancer survival rates and improved quality of life for patients.

Help us, LEJoG Sisters, to help them.

We are delighted to be partnering Lichfield Re:Cycle for this event. They are a charity enabling people to become more confident about riding, maintaining and repairing their bikes. They provide used bikes on free long term loan for those who otherwise might not be able to afford to buy one or need them for health reasons. They also organise confidence building rides and social events.
