Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On Saturday 14th October I'll attempt to cycle the full 134 mile / 212 kilometre distance of the John Muir Way in one long, hard day!
I'm raising funds for the ICAS Foundation, which supports academically talented young people from disadvantaged communities to study accounting and finance at university. These young people would otherwise be unable to pursue a university education, and ultimately qualify as Chartered Accountants.
I passionately believe that your economic background should never define your future. This is fundamentally unfair.
That's why I'm taking on this gruelling solo cycle challenge on one of Scotland’s Great Trails - the John Muir Way - which traverses central Scotland, linking Helensburgh on the west coast with John Muir’s birth place Dunbar on the east coast.
This will be a huge challenge for me as my longest non-stop cycle to date is just 80 kilometres!
