Autism is a lifelong developmental disability which affects how people communicate and interact with the world. More than one in 100 people are on the autism spectrum and there are around 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK.

As a nurse providing care and support for Autistic individuals, I am still growing, learning and understanding with each day that goes by. The National Autistic Society are here to transform lives and change attitudes to help create a society that works for autistic people.
