Hi everyone, this March we will be participating in the Rickshaw Run Sri Lanka.

Lucy has completed Rickshaw Run India before, and within just a few hours of meeting Rory and Danielle the three of us had decided to do it again!

The Rickshaw Run Sri Lanka will involve driving an auto-rickshaw (tuk tuk, or glorified lawnmower as the website suggests) over a week through Sri Lanka, navigating jungle, hilly narrow tracks, tropical beaches and wild elephants!

The route is not set, there is no mechanical support, rickshaws are notoriously unreliable and road conditions in Sri Lanka are far from easy! We will almost definitely get lost and break down frequently, but we hope to stutter across the finish line still smiling with lots of stories to tell!

We are raising money for the Rickshaw Run’s official charity Cool Earth who help protect our rainforests so if you can spare a few pennies for the planet, we’d be super grateful and it’ll be a welcome morale boost when we break down for the 100th time!
