Story
We at Richmond Volleyball Club are lucky to have such a fantastic group of players, coaches, parents, volunteers and supporters. Since the start of the season all RVB players have been working hard honing their volleyball skills but more importantly they are learning the values of teamwork, meeting new friends, playing matches, experiencing the excitement of competition, getting loads of exercise and much, much more.
Several years ago I ran the idea of doing something to raise money for charity during the last training week before Christmas and everyone was very excited keen to get involved.
We chose to support the Teenage Cancer Trust as we wanted to help those who are not able to play the sport we all love as they are battling this life threatening disease on a daily basis particularly at such a young age.
We have raised over £4,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust over the past couple of years and intend to raise even more this year with the players and of course your help.
The task we have set forth for this year is to perform a whopping 110,000 Digs for Kids during the last week of training before Christmas.
This is no easy feat however the Club is up for it again this year but need your support as well to reach our fundraising goal of £1,000.
So tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbours etc and help the Junior Girls, Junior Boys, Men and Women smash their fundraising goal. Any amount given is most greatly appreciated and will help us make a difference to the lives of those who need it most.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from everyone at Richmond Volleyball Club and we sincerely thank you for your support!
