Story
Taking on this monster hiking challenge as part of 'The Glen Shiel Warriors' , a merry band of 'Munro Baggers' there to support our good friend, and Team Leader, the gallus Andy Munro. We will be 'going that extra mile', up an over Scotland's beautiful mountain-landscape, again and again and summitting 12 Munro's in 36hrs 😨! Camping out in the wilderness and battling both Highland midge and the Scottish elements. These hardships are nothing compared to the challenges Andy has had to face over the last 3 years - an active forty-something with a lust for life and adventure being diagnosed with the incurable condition. If you have ever had the good fortune to be in Andy's company you will come to realize that his spirit and determination mean that this 'devastating diagnosis (Andy's own words)' has not dampened his spirit and determination. He is a true inspiration and rather than wallow in any self pity, he has met this condition head on and is determined to do all he can for himself and others affected by Parkinson's. The chosen charity mirrors Andy's approach to life - not lying down and accepting but instead questioning and disrupting to get a better outcome and hopefully, one day, through funded research, deliver a cure. Please support us in any way you can to raise much needed funds 🙏 - tapadh leat
