Story
Catching Lives is a small homelessness charity working across East Kent. Their day centre in Canterbury is open 7 days a week providing a friendly welcome, basic facilities (food, laundry, showers), support including a mental health specialist, and activities such as arts, cookery and gardening. They also do street outreach and tenancy sustainment. Their aim is to offer a safe, inclusive space and help people move towards personal recovery and independent living. Taylor's Decorators is setting up a competition to raise as much money as possible for this very worthwhile cause, as they recognise the importance of the ever growing issue of homelessness in Canterbury. The competition is called 'A Room For a £1'. All you have to do to enter is donate a minimum of £1. The more you donate the higher your chance of winning as every pound counts as one entry. For example £5 gives you 5 chances of winning.
Terms and conditions for entry:
- Entrants must be 18 or over
- Entrants must be located within East Kent
- Rooms must be no bigger than 11ftx 17ft
- No external work or hallways etc
- Paint must be provided by the winner
- Please put your full name when donating to stop confusion when making the draw
