Story
Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page in memory of our beloved father and husband, Richard Skipper.
Richard was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on March 25th after experiencing a brief period of low energy and abdominal pain. Despite a courageous battle, our Dad passed away on June 14th. Throughout his illness, our Dad received exceptional support and medical care from the Martlets Hospice team, which enabled him to maximise his quality of life and spend his final days at home surrounded by his loved ones.
We invite you to honour our Dad’s memory by making a donation to the Martlets Hospice, a cause that became very close to his heart.
Our Dad was one of the most positive and caring individuals you could ever meet. He was always eager to help others and he cherished every moment of his life. In the three months following his diagnosis, our Dad continued to make the most of every day. Even after battling a severe infection that placed him in ICU for five days in late April he maintained his optimistic spirit until the end.
The Martlets team played a crucial role in helping our Dad enjoy his precious time pain-free. When his health rapidly declined on June 10th, their support became even more invaluable. In the last four days of his life, they stepped up in ways we could never have imagined, providing exceptional support when we needed it most.
Your donation will help the Martlets Hospice continue their incredible work, offering support to other families in need. Thank you for your generosity and for helping us honour our father and husband Richard’s legacy.
With Love,
Ollie, Tilly, Ned & Nicola
