On 15th June, I’ll be taking on the Scafell Pike at Sunrise challenge in memory of my mom and in aid of KEMP Hospice. Beginning the climb under darkness, with moonlight and a headtorch for light, I’ll be ascending England’s highest peak to witness the sunrise unfold over the Lake District.

Losing my mom in 2017 was the most difficult thing I have ever experienced, and this is not something I often talk about. During this time, KEMP Hospice provided support not only to my family but also to me directly. I was able to receive bereavement counselling for quite some time to help me process everything that was going on. For this, I am truly grateful and want to do something to give back.

KEMP Hospice has been supporting people in the Wyre Forest with life-limiting illnesses for over 50 years. They provide free end-of-life care, counselling, and emotional support to patients, their families, and carers, helping them navigate some of life’s most difficult moments.

Your donation could, for example, help with:

• £150 raised could help pay for a clinical nurse in the Day Hospice for a day.

• £200 raised could pay for 10 complementary therapy sessions for a patient.

• £400 raised could pay for a child to receive eight bereavement counselling sessions.
