Story
Welcome to our Mallorca 312 fundraiser for the Yolanda Moore Foundation.
On the 19th October we shall be embarking on an unassisted attempt (self-supported) to cycle the circumference of Mallorca within 24 hours.
This ride will take us the 312 kilometres around the island, as well as scaling the entirety of the elevation that Mallorca has to offer (4000 metres). For context, this is like cycling the London to Brighton route, returning to London, then back to Brighton (and add a few K’s and an extra 1000 Metres climbing) in one go. We estimate we will be riding for around 16 hours, assuming we don’t have any mechanical issues!
Both of us are enthusiastic but novice cyclists so this will be the biggest mental and physical challenge we have both attempted (for context an average time iron-man taken less time to complete), so please donate generously if you can.
As a founding member (Rich) of the foundation the cause and mission is close to my heart.
The foundation has helped young people in a variety of ways. Some, we've helped provide equipment for university and studies. We've sponsored travel and tickets to sporting events and develop their talent and expertise. We have funded ski trips and equipment for children in New Zealand so they could learn and have access to skiing as a sport from a young age.
We have been particularly pleased to support some hugely talented young people get involved in internships abroad where they have supported environmental projects, developed nursing skills in some of the world's poorest areas and we've also enabled some to attend internships here in the UK.
Your donations make it possible and EVERY single penny you donate goes directly to a really deserving young person (any administration costs or expenses are covered privately).
If you know any someone who is doing amazing things but could do more with a little leg up please send them our way. We would be delighted to receive their application.
