Story
In June 2025, I'm taking part in the Grand Départ Classic and cycling the first road stage of the 2025 Tour de France, a 185km loop from Lille, in support of Prostate Cancer UK.
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That's thousands of dads, brothers, partners, and mates. But it doesn't have to be this way. Any money you can spare will help fund lifesaving research into better tests and treatments to help men live long and live well.
My dad and Grandad both survived prostrate cancer giving me more years to enjoy with them. This challenge is an opportunity for me to give something back, hopefully helping more people to have more time with the ones they love, while doing something I love.
The challenge for me is I'm not a road cyclist and the furthest I've ever ridden is 100km in a day. So I'm going to have to up my game. Fortunately it's not a race and I only have to beat the broom wagon.
I will be immensely grateful for any money you can spare to help me over the finish line and support this great charity that invests loads into lifesaving research and provides remarkable support to both men and their families as they navigate this disease.
