Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, your support is greatly appreciated. Myself and 3 friends have undertaken to row across the Atlantic in December for 4 fantastic Charities. Our aim is to raise £100,000 (£25,000 for each Charity). The row will cover 3000 miles, we will row continuously 2 hours on, 2 hours off (we think!) and hope to complete the crossing in 40 days.
The Cambridge Children's Hospital is a really important initiative. The East are the only region without a children's hospital and the facility that is planned will be world leading.
Preparation for our trip is going well, the trip is fully funded and Cardiff Met University have put together a training programme for us that I think leans heavily on the work that they do with the WRU!
Our training rows are all complete - all off the East coast, with our longest row from Aldeburgh to Wells-next-the-sea (just over 100 NM). The boat has been shipped to the start line in La Gomera and we are due to join it on the 29 November. The race starts on the 12 December.
One of our sponsors, Birketts, has produced an excellent video of our preparation. we have also featured on the local ITV news. Please see clips below:

Charitable support to date has been fantastic with some brilliant events including a Charity Ball at Holkham Hall and a week of rowing related events at Greshams School (Farfield House).
Many thanks again and I will of course keep you updated.
