Story
The BigTour, 24 in 2024.
On the 14th April 2024, a team of 4 ATCOs: Wayne Clarke, Richard Fell, Shaun Bellairs-Wray and Harvey McVicar will go on a little motorcycle ride; from Aberdeen Airport to Gibraltar Airport, visiting every Nats/Nats Solutions Operational ATC Unit en-route.
The team are raising funds to support Prostate Cancer UK and Aerobility. One of our colleagues at Aberdeen Airport passed away from this terrible disease We want to raise awareness across Nats and our families and friends. If we can get even one man to get checked, we will have been successful.
The trip is massive. The approximate distance (on the road) is 3000 miles. There are 4 ferries involved. As experienced riders, we are under no illusions as to the magnitude of the challenge.
Over a 16 day period we will visit,
