We fundraise for Kingston's good causes to improve the lives of those in need

Story

I'm running the Kingston Half Marathon on 22nd October to raise much needed funds for the Kingston Mayor's Charitable Trust.

One of the great causes our Mayor has chosen to support this year, is Kingston Charitable Foundation, which is an umbrella charity for lots of little charities in the Borough of Kingston, helping them with fundraising and grants and allowing those involved to concentrate on what they do best.

My wife Nikki is very involved with Kingston CF and has been for a number of years; I am in awe of the good work they do in supporting and serving our local shared community.

Kingston CF is a fairly new charity, having launched in January 2021, at the height of the pandemic, and has helped many smaller charities negotiate the difficulties of COVID lock-downs, providing vital funds to keep services open and communities supported.

To date the dedicated Kingston CF team has raised funds for and awarded 100+ grants, for the benefit of over 35,000 local people. 90p in every £1 the team has raised has gone directly to their grants programmes to support local projects, individuals and families facing hardship.

Their task is ongoing, and they are always in need of donations, so please give generously!

Many thanks,

Titch
