Story
I don’t like the cold, but I love a challenge.
So this January, I’m taking on the Arctic Frontier Challenge in support of The Joshua Tree, a charity obviously very close to my heart.
Brave or stupid, you decide! 😄
As the proud CEO of The Joshua Tree, I see every day the profound impact our work has on families going through some of the toughest times in their lives.
That’s why I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and into the cold.
The challenge ahead:
Starting from Rovaniemi, Finland, our 3 day trek into the Arctic Circle promises to push us to our limits. Battling the elements; each of us will haul heavy kit through temperatures often reaching minus 20 degrees. And we will spend 2 nights sleeping in tents when temperatures drop even further.
The 40-mile route will undoubtedly test every ounce of my mental and physical endurance.
Why:
The Joshua Tree supports families affected by childhood cancers across Cheshire, North West England and North Wales. We provide a range of bespoke emotional health and wellbeing activities, for however long they need it.
The demand for our work continues to grow and we are the only charity of our kind that supports the whole family; including parents, carers, grandparents, siblings and the child on treatment.
Please support my challenge. Donate if you can and help support families affected by childhood cancers.
