Story

July 23rd. 11:30am. OK. I admit it. i was sandbagging....£750 was achieved (thankyou all). I am raising the goal one more time to see if we can hit the magical £1,000. Thanks so much to everyone.

July 23rd. 9am. Thanks to the amazing generosity of a number of people, i achieved my target of £500 in about 12 hours.....those of you who have worked with me will know that forecasting was never my strongest suit....so...i have taken the liberty of raising my target (first time ever...) to £750. I would be delighted if you can help me reach it. thanks x

Thankyou for finding my Just Giving page.

On September 14th 2024, I will be running the 15 mile London leg of Cure Leukaemia's "Run The Nations" event which is raising money to pay for 2 Cure Leukaemia research nurses in the U.K.

With a person being diagnosed with blood cancer every 14 minutes in the UK, it is vital to continue to raise funds to allow patients access to pioneering and potentially lifesaving treatment.

Not surprisingly, this is the furthest i have run in my life so on behalf of the patients, nurses, clinicians and of course myself, thankyou for sponsoring me for this event !

Cure Leukaemia fund research nurses at 15 hospitals across the UK. These roles form the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network giving patients, from a catchment area of 30m, access to potentially life-saving treatments through clinical trials, with plans to fund a paediatric network on the way.
