Story
LIFE SAVERS
On 5th Sept. 2023 I was at Silverstone circuit riding my Ducati. Unfortunately, I was thrown from my bike at around 100 mph, suffering numerous fractures and internal injuries. I remember nothing about the entire day. In total I received 7 packs of red blood and 5 of plasma. The Doctors were concerned for my life. I spent just over 2 weeks in Coventry Hospital Intensive Care followed by a further week in Critical Care before coming home to my family to (hopefully) fully recuperate. The Doctor at Silverstone (who actually works in Coventry Hospital) called the Air Ambulance who were on the scene in 20 minutes for the flight to Coventry. So many people have been amazing delivering my treatment but only one is not funded - The Air Ambulance Service. Please help as best you can - you never know when you or yours will need their service (hopefully never of course).
The Air Ambulance Service operates the local air ambulance services for Warwickshire & Northamptonshire and Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland as well as the national paediatric and neonatal transfer service, the Children’s Air Ambulance, covering the whole of the UK.
The Air Ambulance Service does not receive funding from the government for its daily missions. It relies entirely on voluntary donations and support from our communities and business
Your support will help keep us flying.
