Story
In October I will be cycling from London to Paris (the longish way) to raise money for the Professional Cricketers Trust. Cricket and cycling are both sports I love so it seems there is no better to way to raise money for such a worthwhile cause than the PCT bike ride!
The Professional Cricketers' Trust was created to support the lifelong health and wellbeing of Professional Cricketers' Trust members and their immediate families. The players' charity looks out for players throughout their active careers and long afterwards, funding life changing medical assistance, crisis helplines and educational programmes in England and Wales.
The ride involves cycling over 400km and climbing 3600m across 3 days. Easily the further the would have cycled in consecutive days so it should provide a very good challenge! Starting from the Oval in London, we'll cycle down to Portsmouth where an overnight ferry will take us across to Caen. From there we will cycle through France to Evreux where we'll make our final stop before embarking on the final leg to Paris where I have no doubts we'll be enjoying a nice cold celebratory beer!
