Everest in a Day
Campaign by Chapter2 (RCN 1177011)
Chapter2 has a growing waiting list of boys in Reading who have no contact with their Dad and need a male mentor. We are seeking to raise £100K by climbing the height of Everest (base camp to summit) in 1 day so that we can help more boys.

Story

On Father's Day weekend 2024, we will be setting out to climb the height of Everest (base camp to summit) in just 24 hours. Covering 26 miles using nothing but our two feet. This endurance challenge has not been attempted before.

I will be joined by my beautiful daughter Millie. I am so grateful for her and her desire to join me in this epic adventure. Cant wait to spend 24 hours in the mountains with you Millie!

We are doing this challenge to help boys that are growing up with no father or father figure. The UK is facing a fatherless pandemic, with nearly 1-in-2 15-year old boys not living with both parents, the majority of which live with their mother. They will grow up to face far more challenges than your average boy. Unemployment, academic failure, depression, anxiety and poverty later in life are all far more likely for fatherless boys. Please support this brave group in their quest to write hope into the fatherless story.

Please help us write hope into the fatherless story by donating to Chapter2.

Chapter2 works with boys who are growing up with no father and no positive male influence. We provide them with a dedicated male mentor and male community to help guide them to adulthood. Our aim is to write hope into a story which might otherwise be profoundly sad.
