Story
I saw the Sahara trek advertised when I was at the hospice to give a complimentary Tai Chi class to staff. I thought two things: that sounds interesting, how can I ever raise that amount of money? So, here I am, making a start.
I did some research on the Sahara, wondered what on earth was possessing me to join the trek, but went ahead and signed up for it anyway. So, it will be a challenge, but sometimes you just have to think about others and rise to it.
I’ve been teaching Tai Chi and Qigong in Bexley and Greenwich boroughs for over 15 years and was involved with the hospice ‘Move in May’ campaign this year sharing some Tai Chi and Qigong movements. I made a decision several years ago to support a local charity and the obvious choice was the Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice, as a good friend’s husband became terminally ill with cancer and received much needed care and support from the hospice. My friend can only say wonderful things about the level of care, support and kindness she and her family received from the nurses, volunteers and staff.
Thank you so much for your kind donation.
Rhonda
We acknowledge with grateful thanks your donation towards the work of the Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.
Every year we care for over 3000 people with a life-limiting illness and their carers, family and friends. We support the whole family as well as the patient at what can be a very difficult time. All our care is provided free of charge.
Your generous support will help us work with more patients and their families when they need us - now or in the future. Thank you.
