In loving memory of Amber, whose life was tragically cut short in September 2023, I will be running a half marathon to raise money for Evelina London Children's Charity and in particular, the allergy service.

Every year more than 103,000 children and young people experience the wonderful warmth of Evelina London, which is part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The children's allergy service is the largest of its kind in Europe, providing diagnosis, treatment and vital research.

Amber's life brought joy and happiness to all that knew her and it is my privilege to run in her memory. The words of encouragement she wrote to herself in her journals to "be brave" ring true and loudly as I begin training. Her bright outlook on life should be an inspiration to all.
