Story

In continuation of his groundbreaking efforts in recent

years, 104-year-old Dabir Chacha is set to spearhead an

international campaign this Ramadan. Climate Faith

initiative aims to unite mosques worldwide, fostering

awareness about the profound impacts of climate change

and emphasizing our collective responsibility as global

citizens. The campaign will also focus on fundraising

endeavours to support victims affected by both climate

change and conflicts, with the overarching goal of

contributing to a greener and more peaceful world. In

alignment with the latest IPCC report on Impacts,

Adaptation, and Vulnerability, an estimated 3.3 to 3.6 billion

people reside in highly climate-vulnerable contexts. Across

major cities and towns in the UK, community groups and

individuals from diverse professions and backgrounds will

come together during Iftar events. Through these

gatherings, funds will be raised to bring about positive

transformations in the lives of tens of thousands
