Story
Our Story: In Memory of Paul
In 1999, at just 10 years old, Paul was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. For 14 years, he courageously battled to accept and manage his condition. Countless hospital visits and several close calls marked his journey. He even developed a condition called gastroparesis, which made it difficult for him to digest food & would often vomit after eating, a perilous situation for someone with diabetes.
On March 31st, 2014, our worst fears came true. Paul had slipped into a diabetic coma, alone and helpless. An empty insulin pen lay nearby, a tragic reminder of his struggle. At only 24 years old, Paul was taken from us, a beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend.
Back when Paul was diagnosed, there was minimal support available for him and our parents. Fortunately, today, the landscape is different. As we approach the 10-year anniversary of his passing, we want to honour his memory by raising funds for JDRF. They provide invaluable support to children living with type 1 diabetes & also their families.

Your generosity can change lives.
Our Fundraising Goal: No Specific Target, Just As Much As Possible
We embark on this fundraising journey without a specific monetary goal in mind. Instead, our aim is to raise as much as we can through the sale of crafts and various mini fundraising activities. Every pound, every penny counts towards our mission.
