We want to help raise awareness of fantastic support charities like Andy’s Man Club, a group that meet weekly to support men suffering with their mental health and with suicidal thoughts. Suicide is an ever rising issue, especially within men. Andy’s Man Club are there to help and follow the motto of #ItsOkayToTalk.

After a long battle with his mental health and depression, we sadly lost Andy on Thursday 20th February after he took the decision to end his life, aged only 62 and with so many years left to live. He had struggled for many years with anxiety, depression and being his old usual confident self that we all remember so well.

He will be sorely missed across so many communities, from all those who knew him through his 30+ years at Abbey National/Santander, to those who knew him through his love for Brighton & Hove Albion, and his dedication and commitment to supporting North Crawley Cricket Club in any way he possibly could. He was famous for his yearly cricket tours, and although someone can try to take this on, no one will quite organise a tour like Andy did.

In his memory, it would be great to raise money for a cause that can help stop others getting to the point that Andy had reached, and one where he felt there was no other way out.
