On the 9th of June 2023, eleven Reliance Precision employees (Ashley, Ben, Joe, Matthew, Becky, Adam, Chris, Jimmy, Ryan, John and Mick) will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for The Candlelighters Trust.

The Challenge

The National Three Peaks Challenge involves walking the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles, the total driving distance is 462 miles and the total ascent is 3064 metres.

In order to complete the challenge, we will begin our journey on Friday evening by climbing Ben Nevis. On Saturday, we will arrive at Wasdale and will begin the Scafell Pike ascent at approximately 04:00. In the afternoon, we will climb Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa). If we can do this by 17:00, we’ll have completed the walk in 24-hours.

The Charity

Candlelighters is a charity bringing light and hope to families facing childhood cancer across Yorkshire, providing emotional, practical and financial support from diagnosis and for as long as is needed, as well as funding research into childhood cancers.

We’ll try our best to complete the challenge within the 24 hour timeframe, but our real goal is to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity. All donations are gratefully received.
