Story
Following on from an amazing experience in 2022 riding the 175 miles from Dover to Ypres and back we have decided to challenge ourselves again.
This time Mick Cahill, Geoff Martin, Chris Thomas and Nick Wain AKA 'THE REGENTS PARK PEDALLERS' are taking on the Royal British Legion's Pedal Normandy Beaches 2024, raising funds to provide the lifelong support that our Armed Forces community needs and deserves today.
A friendship, that spans 3 decades since we served together at Regents Park Barracks, was reinforced during our 3 days riding through France and Belgium in July 2022. An amazing experience with amazing people for an amazing charity which is close to our hearts.
The amazing generosity from so many people helped us to raise in excess of £10,000.
Next years challenge, coming in the year we remember 80 years since the D-Day Landings and The Battle of Normandy, seems a fitting way for us to remember the sacrifice made by all those who fought in both World Wars.
Riding 220 miles over 3 days we will experience the history of the D-Day Beaches, Sword, Juno, Gold, Omaha and Utah along with other historical areas such as Bayeux, Arromanches-les-Bains, Pegasus Bridge and many more.
We would like to call upon family and friends, and anyone else who we have had the pleasure to rub shoulders with over the years, to help us to achieve our 'Team Goal' of raising £10,000 for the Royal British Legion.
