REF Ramble for Bone Cancer Research Trust

Mike Feasey is raising money for Bone Cancer Research Trust

REF Ramble · 26 September 2025

The Bone Cancer Research Trust is the leading charity dedicated to fighting primary bone cancer. Our mission is to save lives and improve outcomes for people affected by primary bone cancer through research, information, awareness and support.

Story

After the continued success of the REF Ramble, raising over £30,000 to date, we are proud to announce that we will be doing the walk again this year. This year the chosen charity partner is Bone Cancer Research Trust.

Bone cancer brings heartbreak and devastation to hundreds each year. Too often, patients reach the end of current treatment options with no further hope.

While other major cancer charities often overlook bone cancer, the Bone Cancer Research Trust is the leading UK charity funding research into this brutal disease – thanks to the generosity of its supporters.

With continued investment, they’ll find new treatments and, one day, a cure for all. Until then, they’re here for everyone affected, offering support, trusted information, and hope.

The walk is organised by Secure Trust Bank and supported by a number of local professional firms. Support the Reading's Real Estate Finance Professionals as they walk a total of 20 miles / 32.5km from Goring to Henley on Thames.

Starting Point: Pierreponts Café, Goring. Meet at 8:40am for a 9:15am start.

Midway: Lunch, STB Reading office. Aim for 1pm arrival, set off again at 1:45pm.

Finish Line: The Angel on the Bridge pub, Henley-on-Thames. Aim for 4:30pm arrival.

We are looking to raise as much money as possible and encourage individuals and local businesses to either join us and help to raise much needed funds or to donate and support this cause.
