Story
This is the RedNews fanzine eighth annual charity event for Manchester Mind.
Thanks to all who have supported previously, and can this year.
In previous years the RedNews sellers and contributors have done individual feats, but this year we decided to come together - and, if you like, you can JOIN IN!
On Friday December 6th from 11am until 6.30pm we're going to keep walking/lapping round the outside of Old Trafford and see how we get on! You can join in for one, two laps or just come down and support. There is no obligation but I want to get a few laps in and hope to raise awareness for Manchester Mind and spread the word about our annual appeal. We will be recording a podcast. All are welcome for one lap or two or....! You'll see me in my Manchester Mind t-shirt walking clockwise!
Each Christmas period we raise money for this vital charity - it's more important than ever that we all take care of ourselves, and our minds. If you are able to talk, please do, you can contact Manchester Mind direct - or please see us when we sell for a little chat. Just take care of yourselves Reds, please.
We will be selling in Santa hats for our game against Nottingham Forest on December 7th for another little bit of fun to raise awareness for our appeal. And the appeal will be open until New Year's Day to raise as much as we can.
Join in, donate if you can - but please just take care of yourselves!
This event is 100% unofficial.
Manchester Mind is an independent, local charity, which supports over 7,000 children, young people and adults each year. We believe that everyone deserves to be supported in their mental health needs and we have a part to play in that. Our charity values the commitment of our staff and volunteers, who work hard to ensure services are delivered in a way that enables people to feel heard and involved. Donations and help from our fantastic supporters make a real difference, so thank you for being part of our success this year.
