London Marathon 2025

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Its's taken months of blood, sweat and tears in training to prepare... but only one misplaced pigeon on the course could ruin everything.
On Sunday 27th April 2025, I will be running the TCS London Marathon to raise money for St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Eastbourne.
I will be running in memory of my late Husband Tristan, who tragically passed away at St Wilfrid's Hospice. He died after a 3 week battle with an extremely aggressive form of Sarcoma cancer; he was 27 years old.
Tristan's last wish was for us to get married, and with just 48 hours notice, St Wilfrid's Hospice arranged the most beautiful wedding day full of love and joy, which helped get us through unimaginable sadness, and memories to last forever.
The expertise and care of the St Wilfrid's Hospice staff, enabled Tristan to pass away peacefully, in a beautiful environment surrounded by those he loved. And then provided me with counselling and aftercare after he passed.
Something we loved to do together was run; and this is something I have continued after his death in his memory. However, this will be my first London Marathon... and I'm expecting it to be a killer... so any donation for my pain and efforts will really help cheer me on. Particularly as by the time I finish the elite runners will have run, showered, eaten, and possibly started training for the next one.
St Wilfrid's Hospice rely on the support of their community for more than 70% of their funding. By donating to St Wilfrid's Hospice, you are enabling the hospice staff to continue to be there for local people who need their services, whether it's in the hospice building or in people's own homes.
Any donation, big or small, that you can make to my fundraising efforts will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
