Story
In 2013, our lives changed when Becca was diagnosed with cancer. It was an incredibly challenging time, but thanks to the incredible team at Guy’s Cancer, she received the best possible surgery, treatment and care. Their expertise and compassion carried us through, and to this day, she continues to attend annual checks with them to ensure she remain healthy.
Guy’s Cancer didn’t just treat Becca's illness—they gave us hope, the chance for her to get well and move forward with our lives.
Running the London Marathon is our way of supporting a cause that means so much to us. It’s our chance to help ensure that other people facing a cancer diagnosis and needing treatment, as we did, receive the exceptional care and support they deserve.
By supporting our marathon efforts, you’ll be helping Guy’s Cancer continue their life-saving work. Your donation will fund vital research, advanced treatments, and compassionate care for people like Becca and their families, who are navigating a cancer diagnosis.
Every step we take during the marathon is a step towards ensuring others receive the same world-class care that Becca did.
Thank you for supporting us and this incredible cause—we are so grateful!
Every penny of your donation will help to make a difference:
* £10 could help run a virtual support group session, enabling patients and carers to share their experiences of cancer from the comfort of their own home.
* £50 could help provide a comforting care package for someone receiving end of life care, helping to alleviate symptoms and soothe fears.
* £150 could provide expert welfare and benefits advice for a patient experiencing financial hardship, giving them the freedom to focus on their recovery.
* £350 can help invest in the latest surgical robotic technology, so expert surgeons can work with greater accuracy and send patients home to their families sooner.
Thank you so much for your support.
