In memory of Callum Tighe
IT TAKES BALLS TO TALK is a chariy which uses sporting themes to encourage people, particularly men, to talk about how they feel. We are raising funds to help fund our work within the community to reach out to men struggling with mental health.

Story

We are holding a Father's day FUNdraiser in memory of Callum who sadly took his life on 22nd March 2024. This will be Freddie's first Father's day without Callum and we will be honoring his memory by holding a fundraiser at Pinley Rugby Club on the 15th June 2024.

Mental health is a real problem but males are more than three times more likely to commit suicide than females.

Generally men are not good at talking about how they feel, keeping feelings hidden and bottled up inside until its too late. We use sporting & other events to provide an opportunity for men to talk to someone on a confidential basis in an informal setting.

Any funds raised help support our work within the community to reach out to men struggling with mental health and hopefully help save lives.

If we can have one meaningful conversation at an event then we have hopefully help save one life and unmeasurable heartache for their loved ones...
