On Saturday 7th October I will be taking on my first (and possibly last) Ultra Marathon!!

Rowbotham's Round Rotherham Trail Event of 50 miles. An undulating route with, overall 800m of climb around the town.

Starting at 6am at Manvers Lake - Grange (Kimberworth) - Treeton - Harthill - Woodsetts - Firbeck - Maltby - Hooton Roberts & finishing back at Manvers Lake!

The race has 8 pit stops between each area to refuel and I’ll be following the RRR waypoint markers along the whole route.

One evening when I was talking to Andrew about which charity I should support, the Alzheimer’s Society advert came on TV. Watching it made me realise how difficult it was for those who have Alzheimers as well as their families. To say I was full of emotion is an understatement but my decision was made there and then.
