Story
Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a daunting time, but I was, and still am being so well looked after by the NHS, particularly the Rose Center at St George's Hospital, Tooting. As a small gesture of my thanks to them, I'd like to raise money for the center so it can continue it's amazing treatment for others.
I didn't know how I was going to feel as I underwent treatment, so scrapped all races this year, except for the World Champs in Spain. I qualified for this race the week before I started my chemo, and it became my goal for the year. I had earned my spot, so was determined to race, regardless of where I was fitness wise.
Injuries aside, I have been very lucky with the side effects of my treatment and have been able to train throughout, so I hope I'll be able to put in a good race.
