Story
In 2022 I heard those words everyone fears, ‘"It’s cancer”’. I was diagnosed with an early but aggressive type of breast cancer at the age of 41. I was in a state of disbelief, how could this be me, I’m fit, healthy and young.
12 months later the ordeal was over (surgery, chemo, radiotherapy, immunotherapy) and my oncologist told me, ‘“the world is your oyster, get out there and live life again’”. So, here I am getting back on track, loving and appreciating each day more than ever before. There’s nothing I enjoy more than clocking up the miles on my bike, fuelled by cake and coffee stops along the way. So what better way to say thank you for all the wonderful treatment I have had, the hundreds of thousands of pounds invested in my life than doing what I love most, turning those pedals on my trusty bike Derek!
So please dig deep if you can so I can give something back and help our local hospital and NHS to continue to provide the life saving work it does every single second for every single one of us that needs it.
From the bottom of my heart thank you for your donation, it means a lot.
