Story
Beth says "I want to protect the rainforest trees because they are good and if they are gone it'll just be like a desert. And then the animals will have nowhere to live and no food and they will all die. And trees are important because fruit grows on them too." We had been reading the great kapok tree and she wanted to help save the rainforest. I asked Beth how much money she would like to raise and she said "loads! ... £100 because that is a LOT of money" :)
I am going to hug 100 trees to raise money for Rainforest Trust UK. 100% of the money Rainforest Trust UK receives will be used to protect our planet's most threatened rainforests, helping to save endangered species and fight climate change. So please support my tree-hugging efforts by making a donation today!
Rainforests store billions of tonnes of carbon, protecting our planet from the impacts of climate change. They also provide vital habitat for half the world's species, many of which are endangered. However, they are being cut down at a rate of 70,000 acres a day.
The money raised will go to the Rainforest Climate Action Fund, supporting projects which cost-effectively store and sequester vast quantities of carbon. Raising money for this fund may be the most efficient way to fight climate change, so please donate if you can.
