Day of Silence, 25 September 2023
Too many people with ataxia struggle to receive a diagnosis. Many medical professionals are unaware of ataxia, so this IAAD we are walking together to our GP surgeries to deliver specialist Guidelines to support them and raise awareness and funds.

Story

Ava is taking up the sword again and this time she will be fighting in silence. To mark the ataxia awareness day- to honor her mother who lives with Friedreich's Ataxia- she will be silent for one whole day.

To make this challenge more daring she has decided to do it on a day she will spending with her friends at forest school. Her friends are a talkative bunch, so I hope she makes it!

Ava will be taking up this quest on the 25th of September and asks anyone to support her by making a small donation that will go to people who live with ataxias.
